"Greg brings the three most important elements to a shoot that any production sound mixer can do: Professionalism, Integrity and a Great Sense of Humor! On the set of AN ORDINARY FAMILY he was a joy to work with and made our post production workflow that much easier by making sure we got great original audio. His commitment to making sure we got the best is why we got just that. Can't wait to work with Greg again."
- Matt Patterson, co-writer/producer "An Ordinary Family"
"Greg's sound design and mixing capabilities are some of the best in the business. It's rare to find a designer/mixer who can really catch a hold of your vision and build upon it...Greg does just that. His ear is not only impeccable in post, but also on set. He is a pleasure to work with and brings great sound expertise to the table on both fronts."
- Ya'Ke Smith, Director, Exodus Filmworks
If there's one thing that's important when shooting a comedy, it's keeping the set "light." Stressed out crew running around like chickens with their heads cut off never helps the comedy flow. I had the pleasure of working with Greg on the feature Hold Your Peace, and he was perfect for the job. He was always ready for a take at a moment's notice, never looking anxious. He worked with the rest of the crew as a real team player to keep the mood on set light and happy, and still managed to produce excellent audio. We had a scene that took place on lake LBJ over a weekend, so we had boats driving by, loud cicadas and the yells of college kids drinking and partying not 100 yards away. Expecting the worst, I had marked the scene as a future ADR. Undaunted, Greg still gave it his best shot and we ended up with a multi-track recording that our post sound editor turned into a perfect mix, no ADR required. To this day, I'm still not sure what kind of sound voodoo he uses to get those kinds of things to work, but he'll likely be on my crew for years to come.
